Trap Tag News!

October 1, 2010

Dear NJ NWCOA Members:

Many have asked for id numbers for your traps for your business in lieu of using an individual for the trap tag or instead of using your company information.

The Division of Fish and Wildlife has begun to issue trap tag id numbers for wildlife damage control. The first one has already been issued. The number issued is a permanent number issued to your company. These will be issued through the office in Trenton.

When requesting your trap tag id number please include proof of your legal business (i.e. W-9, invoice) and if you have a personal id number as this will expedite the process. You may also fax or email your request to Josephine at josephine.zenquis-diaz@dep.state.nj.us or fax at 609-777-1867

Please contact Josephine Zenquis-Diaz at (609) 292-6685 to obtain your number. This number is different than your personal id number and should be used instead of it.

If you have any questions or comments please let me know.

Frank Spiecker
President NJ Chapter of NWCOA

Dear NJ NWCOA Members:

On behalf of the NJ Chapter I am honored to write to each of you today with the following information.

The 2010-2011 chapter board elections were held this past December. Our election results are as follows:

  • President, Kirk La Pierre, 201-933-9700, president@njnwcoa.com
  • Vice President, Frank Spiecker, 732-583-5516, vp@njnwcoa.com
  • Secretary, Aileen La Pierre, 201-933-9700, secretary@njnwcoa.com
  • Treasurer, Joe Kosakowski, 888-758-6572, treasurer@njnwcoa.com
  • Officer at Large Stuart Aust, 201-599-1007, member@njnwcoa.com

Our chapter board met a few weeks ago and discussed plans for our chapters direction. Committees were assigned to each officer and a tentative meeting schedule was decided.

Our first general meeting will be a lunch and held on Sunday April 18, 2010. We have a request into NWCOA for funds in order to finance this meeting at a conference center. If the request is approved we will paying for the meeting location as well as the meal. If not approved we will hold the meeting at a restaurant where each member will have to pay for their own meal. As soon as we know we will send out an announcement as to the location. Please mark your calendars for that date.

Our chapter now has its own web site which is located at www.njnwcoa.com Please visit the web site and review the information that is already there. The site is a work in progress. If you would like to see additions to the site please send your comments to Frank Spiecker. Your suggestions are highly valued.

There is a members only section that is not viewable by the public. To gain access to that area please contact Frank by email vp@njnwcoa.com and ask him to assign you a user name and password. That area has information that is vital to your wildlife control business in New Jersey, such as regulations etc. The members area will also be used for communication from the board to the members as to meeting schedules, legislative alerts etc.

It is our sincerest aspiration to make this chapter mutually beneficial to all members. Our chapters direction and our main objectives will be focused on networking and communicating with each other and positive public awareness of our profession. Please consider being an active member and attending meetings.

If I can ever be of any assistance you please feel free to contact me at any time and thank you for your vote of confidence in this recent election

Truly,
Kirk La Pierre, President, NJ NWCOA
